Another of the Bailey watercolours showing the view from the chancel into the north chapel. These two impressive tombs had recently been moved from the choir stall arches where they faced across the chancel from the north side. Both are noted in Pevsner's Guide.
 
 
An atmospheric view looking down the south aisle from where the St Thomas chapel is now. The famous Buckeridge memorial is on the right. At this time the church was completely full of pews. From the 1970s the pews were taken out of the side aisles and the north and south chapels, and the St Thomas Chapel was created.
